We are a couple of passionate caravanning enthusiasts re entering the caravanning world after a few years break. When our children were little we spent many wonderful years enjoying caravanning holidays up and down the East coast of Australia. Our life took a turn when our children reached their teenage years, school holidays and weekends became occupied by sporting, dancing and singing activities. Our children have grown up now, so we decide to plan our escape, and what better way to escape on a weekend or during our leave from work than in a four wheel drive with a well equipped caravan happily tagging along behind.

This is where the euphoria began, we visited a few caravan dealerships to find a caravan to suit our needs, and the confusion over the huge amount of makes, models, upgrades, equipment and accessories sent us into a tailspin. We decided to do some serious research into what and what not to buy and have decided to share some of it on this website.

We decided on a 20 year old Jayco 17'6" poptop. We purchased this caravan from a elderly couple whom had owned it from new. The caravan was in good condition for it's age but needed some TLC. We have decide to restore and renovate our van and ad a little wow factor to it. Mind you we have not quite reached the grey Nomad stage, but don’t worry the planning has already begun for the extended caravanning trips.
