RV LCD TV

RV LCD TV these days provides a lot of us with our daily or weekly fix of our favourite TV shows.

RV LCD TV Locating a RV LCD TV does take a little planning, if you look at the new RV's the televisions are usually mounted on an articulated bracket which allows the TV to swivel around for viewing from several locations within the RV. This bracket also holds the RV LCD TV in place while travelling.

I am not sure about the rest of the world but here in Australia we are entering a stage where analogue television is being phased out and replaced by digital television. This means we will need a digital set top box or a RV LCD TV with a built in digital tuner to view digital television. If you want to view the additional 10 to 15 channels you will need a High definition set top box.

Fortunately there are quite a number of 19 and 22 inch  RV LCD TV units on the market with built in high definition tuners and some also have built in DVD players which make them ideal for caravan usage. Unfortunately there does not appear to be too many that are dual voltage ie 12 /240v, however with modern technology providing us with batteries and inverters we can safely run a RV LCD TV.

Not sure whether you can justify the cost of an LCD combination TV / HD tuner and DVD player. If you have a good quality laptop computer that you take traveling with you there is an alternative for less than $100. It is called a USB HDTV Tuner, which allows you to play and record high definition digital TV on your laptop. You simply plug the unit into a USB port on you laptop or PC, load the software and tune in the TV channels. You can also use your laptop as a DVD player. If you have a widescreen LCD monitor it makes for perfect TV viewing. A lot of the USB sticks will accept a connection from an external Antennae.
